Blennies are among my favourite creatures. They are always willing to be photographed and they compete with each other for the front line. Of course, if you make the slightest move, they scatter immediately, but they are able to restore their balance very quickly and they return to pose with even more confidence.
There are several types of blennies in the Black Sea, and they
all share one common feature – excessive curiosity. If you just stop behind a stone covered with seaweed, wait for ten seconds and slowly start looking around, you will see them popping out from various holes, cracks, shells and carapaces. If you are prudent enough to keep still for another 10 seconds, you will be friends forever.
