Shrimps are delicious. And they are much more colourful in the sea than in the saucepan. I have seen various combinations, but my favourite classic is the one with a transparent body and legs of blue and yellow. When I say legs, I mean that there are ten of them.
The funny thing about shrimps is that they cannot really judge whether they are more curious than afraid, or more afraid than curious. This ill judgement of theirs is enhanced by
their wrong perception that if their bodies are far away from something, their antennae are far away from it, too, which is hardly ever correct. That's why the shrimps are very often caught in captivity and experience a lot of stress.
What has always astonished me about shrimps is the fact that, although they live mostly on plankton, they have very high cholesterol levels. I guess it is because of the stress.
